During the presentation of the 2023 Appropriation Act, the Minister for Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, reiterated, amongst other things, that the petrol subsidy would be removed by mid-2023.
In this article, we analyze the subsidy regimes in Nigeria comparatively with other African countries and provide insights on what a post-subsidy economy would entail.
