Informa Markets Medic West Africa 2024

Medic West Africa 2024 by Informa Markets hoisted the flag for this year’s edition of the decade-old healthcare exhibition at the Landmark Event Centre Lagos. The official opening was launched by Dr. Salma Anas, Special Adviser on Health Matters to His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Abdu Mukhtar, National Coordinator Presidential Initiative for Unlocking the Healthcare Value Chain, Mrs. Cordelia Emeka Nwachukwu representative of the Minister of Trade, Investment Dr. Doris Uzoka Anite, Prof. Akin Abayomi Commissioner of Health Lagos State and other special dignitaries. The event hosted Commissioners of Health from Abia, Anambra, Benue, Borno, Edo, Enugu, Kaduna, Kano, Kwara, Niger, Plateau, Sokoto, Taraba state and the Ministry of Health Ghana.

Medic West Africa also featured the Healthcare Excellence Roundtable hosted and powered by ACIOE Associates, a high-level platform for key government and private sector stakeholders discussing strategies to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare systems at the state level in Nigeria.

The Leaders Forum, an exclusive A-list event comprising Global CEOs, Business leaders, and key stakeholders in the health space was a platform with an excellent opportunity explore areas for potential partnership and collaborate with High-level CEOs, Investors, and Ministers of Health from other West African countries to build an improved healthcare system and drive medical investment into Nigeria and the West African region.

The Healthcare Leadership Conference, hosted by the Health Federation of Nigeria HFN, was an interactive congress promoting stakeholder dialogue in leadership and management affecting West African healthcare providers in the public and private sectors.

The event also featured workshops by the Nigeria Health Watch, Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s (IHI), ABC Health, Society of Quality in Healthcare in Nigeria among many others. These workshops aimed to provide participants with an update on the dimensions of quality, provide a refresher on the dimensions of quality and give participants an appreciation of the impact of healthcare standards on safety, efficiency, and patient care outcomes.
