Dr. Hamza Abubakar

Hamza Abubakar is a medical doctor with 20 years of experience across government and donor-funded development institutions in Nigeria, including service as the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Kaduna State Primary Healthcare Board. He brings extensive experience integrating governance, finance, programs, MERL and partner management, to deliver sustained improvements in Nigeria’s health system. His experience spans technical assistance delivery, partner oversight and organizational transformation. He has built and led multidisciplinary teams, strengthened fiduciary systems and used evidence to drive performance improvement and resource mobilization. He has a Masters degree in Humanitarian Health Program Management (Liverpool), Business Administration (Cumbria) and an Executive Certificate in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School. As Consultant, his vast experience in technical delivery, learning, and business development supports his public health, public policy and the strategic leadership profile required to support ACIOE’s wide-ranging portfolio.
