Otuya Okecha

Otuya Okecha is IT Advisor to ACIOE Associates. He is the founder and Managing Director of Fibresol Nigeria Ltd, a growing ICT infrastructure and solutions firm founded to help bridge the infrastructure and solutions service gaps in Sub Saharan Africa. He also serves as Strategy Consultant to Backbone Connectivity Networks, Nigeria’s leading fibre metropolitan network service provider-company. He is a Business Development Management professional and a Telecom Fibre Transmission Sales Lead Strategist whose career spans the Telecommunication/ICT, Oil Downstream, Healthcare, Publishing and Financial service sectors with 16 years vast combined local and international work experience.

Prior to activating Fibresol, he functioned as Head of Sales and oversaw the general management of Internet Solutions’ (Division of Dimension Data MEA) Abuja and northern area regional office. He also oversaw the Business Development and Revenue Generating unit at Phase3 Telecom, one of West Africa’s leading fibre optic backbone companies as Head Business Solutions & Sales. Prior to this, he founded Dove Publications Inc. in Jackson, Tennessee and served as its Editorial Director after working under Marketing & Business Development and serving as Debt Recovery Manager for a top West Tennessee health care provider, First Care Medical Centre, Brownsville & Jackson. He also functioned on secondment by the Emree Group to establish a Marketing presence for the Arlington Medical Clinic in Arlington, Tennessee.

Before his stint in the U.S.A, Otuya had functioned as Supply Executive/Depot Rep (West-Ilorin) & Industrial Sales Executive (Apapa Installation covering Lagos & Ogun States) respectively for Conoil Plc, a leading oil downstream company in Nigeria. Prior to joining Conoil, he had gained trainee work experiences in the Computer and Advances & Loans department of Union Bank of Nigeria and Summa Guaranty & Trust Company Plc, a stock broking firm in Lagos. He majored in Industrial Mathematics and has a certified IT background in RDBMS, Java Programming & ISAS. He also has certifications from the Institute of International Trading Mastery, North Carolina, the Magazine Training Institute organised at the University of South California, Los Angeles, the Etisalat Academy, Dubai, the Telecom Academy, London and the University of Stellenbosch Business School. He has authored and co-authored several fiction and nonfiction books; one of which got him a high commendation from the then President of Nigeria.
