Kema Ufelle is a lawyer, policy adviser, and government relations expert. He has advised on multijurisdictional transactions across the banking and fintech sectors and has served on and advised several startups in million-dollar venture funding and acquisition transactions. He has consulted on a United Nations Report and volunteered with the World Economic Forum through the Global Shapers Network, also contributing regularly to the WEF annual Risk Report.

He served as an Executive Assistant and Senior Special Assistant to the Edo State Governor, and in that capacity, joined in the setting up of Edo State’s Economic Management Team, served in the Governor’s Strategy Team, headed the secretariat of the State’s Covid Response Team, and supervised all the State’s MSME funding initiatives (with over N2bn in management), which provided continuous financing to over 15,000 local businesses. Kema also served on the Federal Government’s N75bn MSME Survival Fund, whose success stimulated small business activities across the country and contributed to lifting Nigeria out of the 2020 recession.
